LAST COMMENTS

Unfortunately, over the last few weeks I have been fully absorbed in duties of my regular job, without much time left to progress with the Learning2.0. Also, after today, I am on leave and will not return until 3rd September.
Nevertheless, I would like to post some thoughts, or should I say PREMATURE COMMENTS on this program: I belong to a Community of Digital Immigrants. Neither my library position demands knowledge of blogging, nor my personal inclination.
However, this learning opened my eyes to a new, vastly unknown dimension of contemporary attitudes. But still, I am not in business which may benefit from the interactivity the Web2.0 offers, nor on a course to change society or passionate about some issue and wishing to share my views and influence people...
But, in comparison 70+million bloggers the SLV collection seems rather diminutive. Is there a suggestion there the libraries today need to compete with this "collective" knowledge?
Anyway, before I get entangled too much, here are the comments of a novice:
-TIMING: 1 hour a week not sufficient
-LIMITATION to 9 weeks - why?
-LEARNING ON OUR OWN caused a lot of anguish and stress, especially at initial stages
-We could have been made aware/warned of expected and frequent glitches of the free systems we were subscribing to.
If the Library's future intention about practical application of new technologies was made clearer to us, then we may not feel we are inventing uses.

Thank you for the very useful comments. Your learning experiences and comments will certainly be very useful for the next group of participants who are trying the program. We can all learn for our experiences
